      Can I block the smoke shaft?

      Blocked smoke shafts can cause major delays

      Please ensure that smoke shafts are free from obstructions and with a maximum leakage rate of 3.8m3/hr/m2 @50Pa in line with the requirements of BS EN 12101-6:2005. Installers need to visually inspect the smoke shaft for holes or blockages before installing the dampers.
