      Do you need a manual override for an AOV control panel?

      A manual override is not generally required as the system should operate automatically except for standalone stairwell ventilators where the vent is intended for manual opening.

      A maintenance switch can be installed purely for test and maintenance purposes, to help prevent misuse these should be installed at a high level to reduce accidental or nuisance triggering. We recommend these are installed with a grey or white enclosure to avoid confusion with a fireman’s override switch.
